Here's a quick update I received on today's meeting. Sadly it appears that contrary to the original rumours going around no one from the Dept. of Transportation, or Rick Larsen's office will be on today's panel.
Nor will the charming Mr. Thomas Jones, head project consultant for Wilbur Smith Associates be enertaining us with speculation on the likelihood that the Jamaican figure skating team may turn up in Sedro Woolley during the Winter Olympics, as he did at last Tuesday's meeting there. Wilbur Smith does not like to disappoint though. If the message I received is accurate a Mr. Arno Hart of Wilbur Smith Associates will be in attendance. From his bio:
Mr. Arno Hart is a Senior Economist with Wilbur Smith Associates (WSA) in Columbia, South Carolina where he directs the firm's Economics, Freight and Finance Services Division. He has over a decade of experience on freight transportation planning and economic development, specifically focused on institutional, financial, planning and market aspects, for highways, ports, airports and rail systems.
The rest of the line-up is below. Look at all those are acronyms! Let's see that's EDA for Economic Development Association, COG for Council of Governments(probably Whatcom County), WCC for Whatcom County Council, WHR for Washington House Representative, WSS for Washington State Senate.
